Sherri June (Rehse) Moss passed away peacefully at her home in Zephyrhills, Florida on March 25, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1959 in Muncie, Indiana to Robert Rehse and Louise (Hines) Rehse, who both preceded her in death.

Sherri raised her family and then decided to pursue her lifelong dream of teaching. She graduated from Indiana University-Indianapolis with her teaching degree. She taught at various schools teaching Special Education students in grades K-2. She was happiest when she was in the classroom with her students.

She married Rick Moss on March 21, 2015 in Logansport, Indiana. Between them, they have eight children and seven grandsons. One granddaughter, Peyton Moore, preceded in death. Children are Tommy (Justine) Moore, Branden (Raul) Moore, Josh Moore, Heather Moore, Zak Moore, Rebecca Moore, Jill Moss and Courtney Moss. Grandchildren include Brody Moore, Kameron Moore, Waylon Moore, Hollis Shideler, Samuel Shideler, Raine Hamm and Carter Moss.

At Sherri's request, there will be no formal services. A family gathering will occur at a later date to celebrate her life.
