IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Shreve
October 7, 1951 – October 2, 2024
Zephyrhills, FL – Sheila Jo Shreve, 72, of Zephyrhills, passed away Wednesday October 2, 2024 Gulfside Hospice with her loved ones by her side. She suffered multiple strokes and endured a lengthy hospital stay before going home to our Lord. She was born October 7, 1951 in Decatur, Illinois, the daughter of Jack and Beverly (Himes) Giles.
She was an Air Force brat who traveled all over the world including Africa, Germany and about 48 states. She was employed bagging groceries at AFB commissary in 1968, later Farley's Industrial Laundry in Titusville, PA, Flight line snack bar in Plattsburgh, NY, General Electric, currently known as Wabtec, in Erie, PA , Later in 1985, she was employed as a postal clerk at US Postal service where she retired from in 2013 after working there 28 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Seibenbuerger Club, Moose Lodge, Lion's Club, American Legion, North East Quilt guild, enjoyed attending weekend sew, craft shows and card-making parties while residing in Pennsylvania. She loved craft shows so much she was inspired to start a weekend craft show of her own called Country Meadows. Of course like most things it takes a village, so thanks to all her friends and family for being Sheila's village, just know how special you are. Sorry there are too many great people she met along her journey to name. Sheila never met a stranger. In other words, she loved talking and making friends anywhere and everywhere she went. She made sure to help anyone she could with her selfless heart. She loved helping organize benefits, parties of any occasion, or just if someone was in need she was right there to help in any way she could. Especially if it meant making meals or making quilts you could count on "Sheils" as we so lovingly called her. She loved cooking, traveling, visiting Diners, Drive-ins & Dives, spending time with Vinny, family and friends. She was the best at giving gifts, she knew how to make others feel special. In 2015 she moved to Florida to live out her retirement dreams of crafting, scrap-booking, quilting, card and candy making. She didn't let retirement stop her she traveled and saw more in her last 9 years than she might have all her life. Gone too soon.
Sheila was preceded in death by her father Jack, stepfather Lester Korthals, sisters Suzanne 'Suzi" Chandler, Stacy Melton and brothers DaNiel, Donnie, and Denny Giles.
