Obituary

Sharon Pauline Shepard, aged 82, passed away peacefully at home on May 20th, 2026.

Born in Tampa, Florida on April 22nd, 1944, she was a 1962 graduate of Chamberlain High School, retired as Senior Secretary of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Department and devoted member of Providence Baptist Church.

At an early age, she trusted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and spent her life loving, following and serving Him.

Sharon’s passion extended to sewing, story writing, singing and attending church and mostly, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Sharon cherished the moments she spent with her loved ones and held them all dearly to her heart.

Sharon’s journey on earth may have concluded, but her story will be told for generations to come, a tale of a well-lived life and a person who was greatly loved and leaves behind a legacy of love, humor and warmth.

Predeceased in death by her husband, James Shepard; Parents, Herbert and Cordelia Edwards; Sisters, Patricia Dorch and Beverly Murray.

She is survived by her children, Spencer A. Cooper (Christie); James E. Cooper (Debbie); Laura L. Clemons (Byron); 8 Grandchildren and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Funeral services to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, visitation at 10:00 AM, service at 11:00 AM at Clay Sink Baptist Church, Webster Florida, graveside service to immediately follow. Dinner afterwards at Cracker Barrel.
