Sharon Evelyn Mathis

Sharon Evelyn Mathis of Dade City, Florida, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020. The eldest of three girls, Sharon was born February 14, 1951, in Dade City, Florida to Clinton "Lucky" Crawford and Nancy Llewellyn Crawford.

Sharon graduated from Pasco High School in 1969 and continued her education at the Business University of Tampa where she majored in data processing and eventually ended up at the Tampa Data Processing Center. Sharon also obtained her real estate license and worked as Realtor in the Dade City area before she went back to school and earned her Associates in Science degree from Pasco Hernando Community College.

Sharon married the love of her life Kermit James Mathis July 21, 1972 and together they shared 48 years of marriage and created a beautiful family that she loved more than anything.

She is survived by her loving husband Kermit James Mathis, and their sons, Kenny Mathis of Dade City, Kevin Mathis (Heather) of Dade City, Kerry Mathis (Michelle) of Land O Lakes; her six grandchildren, Kameron, Kaleb, Karson, George, Kayleigh and Kaden; her mother Nancy Llewellyn Crawford of Dade City, her sisters Brenda Harmon (Roger) of Tampa and Janet Batten of Brooksville.

She was preceded in death by her father Clinton "Lucky" Crawford of Dade City.

The family will receive friends for visitation Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2pm to 4pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel, Dade City. The funeral services will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1pm at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel, Dade City and burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens in Dade City, FL
