In Loving Memory of Sharon Joan Harte
Sharon Joan (Volpicelli) Harte, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the age of 64.
Born on May 24, 1962, Sharon grew up in Millis, Massachusetts, where she developed the caring spirit and warm heart that would define her throughout her life. After marrying the love of her life, John Harte, on September 15, 1990, she devoted herself to building a loving home and raising their family in Litchfield, New Hampshire. In recent years, Sharon and John made their home in Wesley Chapel, Florida.
Sharon and John first met nearly 40 years ago while working together at DMGT. What began as a workplace friendship grew into a lifelong love story, one that was built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Together they shared a beautiful marriage spanning nearly 36 years.
Sharon’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She dedicated the majority of her adult life as a stay-at-home mother, pouring her heart into creating a home filled with love, encouragement, and compassion. Her family was always the center of her world.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia Volpicelli, and by her brother, Robert Volpicelli Jr.
Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 35 years, John Harte; her beloved sons, Robert Harte, and Michael Harte and his partner, Matthew Peabody; her sisters, Sheila Volpicelli of Ormond Beach, Florida, and Janice Alger and her husband, John, of Millis, Massachusetts; her niece and nephew, Amelia and Nicolas Alger; and her nephew and niece, Corey and Marissa Volpicelli, the children of her late brother, Robert Volpicelli Jr.
Those who knew Sharon will remember her for her extraordinary kindness, gentle nature, and genuine interest in others. She had an incredible gift for making everyone feel welcome, heard, and valued. Her warm smile and compassionate heart could brighten any room, and she had a remarkable ability to fill every gathering with love and comfort. Whether she had known someone for years or had just met them, Sharon made people feel like family.
She leaves behind a legacy far greater than words can express—a lifetime of unconditional love, treasured memories, and countless lives touched by her generosity, kindness, and selflessness. Her influence will continue to live on through her family and through all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sharon will be deeply missed every day, forever loved, and never forgotten. Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that the love she shared so freely will remain with us always.
