Obituary

Today we are celebrating the life of Sharon Jen Devereaux. She was known to many as wife, mom, and Grammie. She was 62 years of age when she passed on March 27th, 2024 at Advent Health Hospital in Dade City, FL. Sharon was born on January 18th, 1962 to father Robert William Albert Johnston and mother Shirley Ann Johnson, she was born in Willingboro Township in Burlington County, New Jersey. Sharon was the youngest of 4 children, in her youth she was a fun, loving, and carefree child. She loved going to concerts and being involved in civil war reenactments in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. She was a water loving soul who indulged in many different water related recreational activities, her most loved being international cruises. She absolutely loved manatees, sea turtles, and dolphins. Sharon was hugely endearing to family activities, gatherings, and adventures. Her love of music from a young age lead her to an adult life full of music festivals, concerts, and home entertainment. She was an investigator of the paranormal, a lover of the unknown, and intrigued by them all. Sharon met Robert (Bob) Devereaux in Kellys Bar in Wrightstown, New Jersey. Robert sat beside her and said "I dont bite", she replied with "but I do", and that is where their story begins. They got married on February 20th, 1988, in Medford Lakes, Burlington New Jersey. They were together for 37 years and married for 36 of those years. Sharon is survived by her husband Robert Devereaux, her two sons; Daryl Devereaux and William (Tiffany) Devereaux, and one daughter; Jen Devereaux. Her brothers Dana and Chucky Johston, Grandchildren; Mya, Carson, Asher, Madelyn, Carter, Dallas, Serenity, and Torbin, as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; Shirley Ann and Robert Willam Albert Johnston, her brother Jay Johnston, and her in-laws, Ann Devereaux and Cart Devereaux. Sharon attended school in Burlington Township, New Jersey, and was successful in every career path she ever chose, she managed Creative Cottage with her mother and father, which they also owned.
