Sharon Ann DePalma of Wesley Chapel, FL passed away on January 5, 2023. Shewas born on August 11, 1953 in Amsterdam, NY to Anthony and Molly ManciniZeno. She graduated from Wilbur H. Lynch High School in 1971. She marriedArthur James DePalma on June 2, 1973 in Amsterdam, NY. Their daughter, Sara,was born in 1976. Sharon worked as a substitute teacher with the AmsterdamSchool district before becoming a school nurse for 20 years. She was everyones"Nurse Sharon" and beloved by all, beginning her long career with St. StanislauCatholic School and then retiring with St. Marys Catholic School. Sharon alsoworked part-time for 20 years in the office of Pediatrician Dr. Saha. She lovedfundraising, volunteering at Bingo, traveling, helping with the Amsterdam summertheater productions, and giving the biggest hugs! In 2012, she and Art moved toFlorida to be with their grandchildren. She was a member of St. Joseph CatholicChurch in Zephyrhills, FL.Sharon is survived by her husband or 49 years Art, daughter Sara Dill (Elliott),grandchildren Luke and Ava Dill, sister Ann DiCaterino, sister-in-law Donna Zeno,nieces Lorrie Eckert (Mike), Cherie Donato (Andy), Melissa Quinn (Chris), DanielleZeno, nephew A.J. Zeno. Her memory lives on with her great nieces Jaymi, Kiera,Julianna, Mimi, Mackenzie, great nephew Joey, as well as countless extendedfamily and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents Anthony and Molly, her brother Anthony"Tony" Zeno, sister-in-law Alice DuRose and brother-in-law Earl DuRose.A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 21st at 12:00pm at HodgesFamily Funeral Home in Zephyrhills, FLSharon will be buried at a later date at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell,FLDonations can be made in Sharons name to The American Heart Association.
