Sharon Rene'e Hendrix Cato Born October 15, 1952, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to Arthur Hendrix and Ruby Mae Owensby (Benfield) gained her beautiful wings on January 16, 2022, at her home in Ridge Manor, Florida surrounded by her family. She leaves behind her loving husband of almost 13 years: Albert Cato and her children: Beth Hay (Robby), Buddy Grace, Shannon Todd (Marshall), Cheyenne Sheets ( Lisa), Robert Cato (Christine) She also leaves behind 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews as well as so many others that she loved as her own. She was preceded in death by her father: Arthur Calvin Hendrix of North Carolina; Her mother: Ruby Mae Owensby (Benfield) of Lacoochee Florida; Her brother: Allen Wade Hendrix of Okeechobee, Florida; Nephew: Joe Hendrix of North Carolina; and Granddaughter: Mackenzie Cato of Land lakes, Florida. Sharon worked and was a dedicated employee at the hospital in Dade City, Florida through their many name changes and new ownership for 36 years. She retired from Advent Health in October of 2018. She has lived in Dade City Florida for most of her adult life and has made many friends and left footprints on many hearts. There will be a Celebration of life to honor Sharon at Dade City Woman's Club on Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2-5 pm food will be provided.
