Sarah Annis Hooks, age 79, died at her home in Dade City, FL on February 18, 2019. She was born on August 26, 1939 in Ocala, FL to parents Jesse & Zora Johnson. Sarah's family moved to Dade City, FL in 1950 and she later graduated from Massey Technical Institute in 1970 with a degree in notarizing, bookkeeping, and accounting. She worked as a self-employed bookkeeper for more than 15 years.Sarah married Paul Hooks Jr. in 1956 and the couple has three children together. She was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in church ministries for the majority of her life. She enjoyed reading, decorating, and serving the Lord. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring, giving person. She is survived by her three children: Billy Hooks of Safety Harbor, Delores Holloway of Zephyrhills, and Thomas Hooks of Dade City; and one brother, Cawlie Johnson.Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and two sisters.A visitation will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 10-11am at Temple Baptist Church in Dade City, FL. Pastor Ken Woodard will officiate a funeral service at 11am, and burial will follow at Floral Memory Gardens.
