Salvatore
Mancini
February 24, 1924 – February 8, 2019
Salvatore ManciniAka: Sam; Sammy; Sal; Dad; Grandpop Sam; Uncle Sammy; Sammy Boulmetis and Chico. Passed in peace Friday, February 8, 2019 at 8:50 pm.He was born February 24, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents John and Anne (Pellulo) Mancini. Salvatore was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, and his parents.
Salvatore was the loving father of Gregory and father-in-law to Frani, Grandpop Sam to Kevin, Andrea and Dana, Great Grandpop to Ava and Jackson, Uncle Sammy to Johnny, Denise and Michelle, Thomas and Daniel, and also Great Uncle to the Piancentini clan.
Salvatore served during WWII in the army in Italy and Africa. He worked and retired as union carpenter for local 1050. He spent most of his life living in a row home with Helen in South Philly. One of his passions was playing poker and let's not forget eating Italian food. The only thing you couldn't call him was late for dinner. Most recently he was a resident of Westbrooke Manor of Zephyrhills. During his stay at Westbrooke he became an entrepreneur, starting a beer business from his personal refrigerator. We all have fond memories of Sammy. Please relish in them as he has had a long and full life. Rest in peace Dad.
