Sally Zellie Jones was born on April 23rd 1926, Lombardy, MS in Sunflower County to late Tom Jones and Ruth Charleston. Ms. Jones departed on April 7th 2023. She was educated in Sunflower County Schools in Ruleville, MS. After school, she worked odd jobs until she met the late Mr. Willie Chapman, she moved to Dade City, FL in 1955, she worked as a housekeeper, ran a popular hot spot called the townbar and worked for Lykes-Pasco. She got a job with Pasco County Public School Transportation as a crossing guard later started working as a Bus Assistant where she developed a love for working with disable children and retired in 2010. She gave her life to GOD at very young age she was active member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Sally Jones survived by her two children, Daughter; Jennie Mary Haynes and son, James Earl Chapman (deceased); Four grandchildren, Andre "Juice" Haynes, Reginald Haynes, Christina Haynes, Jalona Hansberry; Great grandchildren, Andre Haynes Jr., Dexter Miller, Tiffany Haynes, Jamall Haynes (deceased), Trinity Howell-Haynes, Javion Haynes, Jailah Howell-Haynes, Zamari Haynes, Satin Haynes, Destinee Haynes, Elijah Haynes-Howard, Monae Haynes, Josiah Haynes; 21 great-great grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Ms. Sally Jones will always be remembered for her signature gold smile.
