Ryan Lewis Gavin, affectionately known as “Little Man,” passed away on April 12, 2026, in Dade City, Florida, at the age of 28.
Born on July 29, 1997, in Dade City, Florida, Ryan was the beloved son of Rickey Lewis Gavin and the late Patricia Jean Gavin. He grew up surrounded by a large, loving family and graduated from Pasco High School in 2015.
Ryan had a joyful spirit and many passions that brought light into the lives of those around him. He was an avid baseball fan, especially cheering on his beloved Boston Red Sox. He also found great happiness in music and, most of all, in spending cherished time with his family. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit, his bright intelligence, his warm sense of humor, and the deep passion and love he showed for his family.
Ryan is survived by his devoted father, Rickey Lewis Gavin; his sisters, Rachel Lea Amsler (Ken), Lisa Marie Brannen (Jesse), Heidi Jean Stephens (Byron), and Anna Michelle Harm (Anthony); his many beloved nieces and nephews; and his loyal dog, Apollo.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Jean Gavin, and both sets of grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Hodges Family Funeral Home, located at 11441 US Hwy 301, Dade City, Florida 33525. Family may begin arriving after 10:00 a.m.
The family invites all who loved Ryan to join them in remembering the laughter, love, and beautiful moments he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.
