Ruth Virginia Doles was born June 10th, 1926, in Johnson County, IN to Russell and Madaline McNeer Settles. She passed away peacefully on May 24th in Zephyrhills, FL. under Hospice care.

Ruth grew up in Columbus, IN. and was a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she also attended school. She was known for her great cooking, her sense of style, her kind, caring ways and love for her family. After retirement, she moved to Zephyrhills, FL

She is survived by her son; Norman Doles, (Mae), her two daughters; Mary Lafrinere (Jim) and Gretchen McConville (Jim) her sisters: Emily Mabe, Helen Phillips; 7 grandchildren. 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Herschel Doles, sisters; Alice Purtlebaugh and Barbara Jane VanZant.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday at 3:00 with visitation starting at 2:00 at Hodges Funeral Home 11441 US- 301 Dade City, FL 33525. A celebration of life will be held in June in Columbus, IN.
