Former resident of Dade City, Ruth Pauline Alsobrook, 84, passed away on May 20, 2014 in Ormond Beach, Fl, after a short illness. A visitation will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 chapel in Dade City, from 6:00pm 8:00pm on Thursday, May 22 and the funeral service will be 12:00pm on Friday, May 23 at the First Baptist Church of Dade City.Pauline was born on August 14, 1929 in Union Furnace, Ohio. She also lived in Alabama before moving to Florida as a teenager. She married the love of her life, David Milton Alsobrook in December of 1947.Pauline drove a school bus for Pasco County and worked at Pasco High School Cafeteria for almost 30 years. After retirement, she spent much of her time devoted to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and at her church, First Baptist Church of Dade City; she and husband also traveled in their RV throughout the United States for many years.Her family said: Paulines generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family and friends. She lived her life with others in mind, always wanting to help everyone.Pauline is survived by her sons, David and Dennis Alsobrook; grandchildren, Tricia Miller and Dennis Alsobrook; great-grandchildren, Shyanna and Bailey Miller, Taylor, Mason and Mathew Alsobrook; sisters, Mary Terry , Elsie Nash and Joanne Snell.Pauline was preceded in death by her husband David Buddy Alsobrook, three brothers and one sister.
