Ruby June Chambers, West, 91, of Zephyrhills, Florida, went to be with her Lord Tuesday, 16 September 2025. She passed away at Pretty Pound Manor, Zephyrhills, Florida. Ruby was a longtime member of the Richland Baptist Church of Zephyrhills. She was born on 17 June 1934 in Oneida, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Hurstle and Hattie Burchfield Chambers. Ruby and Ernest moved to Zephyrhills in 1975. Ruby and Ernest owned Oakdale Village Trailer Park for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years John Ernest West; parents: Hurstle and Hattie Burchfield Chambers, 1 son; Larry Allen West and wife Charlotte Rewis West; 1 Daughter: Melva Lou Crabtree Jeffers-Lane; 2 sister; infinite Ada Opel Chambers; Nell Chambers Claborn and husband Arley; 1 great granddaughter; Chelsea Stern, 1 nephew Christopher Posey, and her special friend Carmella Caldwell. She is survived by 1 son; Johnny M West wife Christine; 2 sisters: Margaret Chambers Davis and husband Herbert; Barbara Chambers Posey and husband Everett; 1 son-in-law Jessie Lane; 11 grandchildren, Johnny M West Jr., Kristie West-Pla, Honey Stern, Holly West, Michael Copeland, Tonia Bonnett, Tangela Allison, Shannon Rogers, Niki Webb, Beverly Treadway and Stephanie Lane; 1 nephews; Dale,; 4 nieces; Luann, Gayla, Karen and Candace; 32 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren. As well as many other family and friends to mourn the loss. Visitation will take place at Hodges Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 1-2 pm. Services will be conducted at 2 pm, with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Gardens, Dade City, FL.
