Roystone J. Brown, 87, passed away at his home in Zephyrhills, Florida on October 4th 2015. Roystone was born in Shirley, England to parents Earnest and Gladys Brown, and was one of 6 children. Roystone was married in 1952 to Marion Brown, and had a son Russell Brown. Roystone remarried in 1972 to Dorothea Brown and had two daughters, Angela Brown and Jacqueline Brown. Roystone immigrated to America in 1980 with the vision to develop property in Zephyrhills. He and his son, Russell, started Roystone Developments and developed 3 subdivisions including Lake Dorothea Grove, Chalfont Heights and Chalfont Villas. Roystone was certified in Horology from the British Horological Institute. His passion for clocks inspired him to build a standing grandfather clock from hand in 2008. He also loved automobiles, and was often seen about town in his red and white Lincoln Towncar. Roystone is survived by his loving sisters Ivy Ralph & Rita McDonald, daughters Angela & Jacqueline Brown, Daughter-in-law Diana Lengyel, Son-in-law Michael Willett, and Grandchildren Edward Brown, Victoria Brown, Vivian Willett & Oskar Willett.
Visitation will be held at Hodges Funeral Home located at 36327 HWY 54, Zephyrhills, FL on October 7th from 6-8PM. The funeral service will be held at the same location the following morning, 11AM October 8th.
