Roy Clifford Cliff Wayland, 77, passed away on December 11, 2014 at Florida Hospital of Zephyrhills.He was born in Ava, Illinois and raised in Marissa, Illinois. He came to Florida at age 16 and never left. He loved the sunshine, the lakes and the beach. He loved being outdoors as all his friends know.Cliff was in the trucking business from age 16 until age 75. He was a lifetime member of The Owner Operators Independent Drivers of America (O.O.I.D.A) and a charter member of the Dade City Moose Lodge.He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. Wayland Sr. and Mae Wayland, his brothers Howard J. Wayland Jr., Lloyd Wayland Sr. (Charlene), Allen Dean Wayland and sisters Louise Wayland Purdy and Sharon Wayland Grogan (Dean).He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda Wayland, His stepson Dustin Temple (Joy), stepdaughter Krista Temple Reedy (Justin), his sister Deloris Steele and brother Homer G. Wayland (Berta). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. He had a special relationship with nephew, Lloyd Wayland Jr. of Lakeland, FL in particular. Cliff was also especially fond of his trusted friends Wade Greif and George Temple Jr.Cliff leaves behind a legion of friends, way too many to list. He had a heart of gold and would help anyone he felt needed help and asked nothing in return. His generosity was boundless.Famous for his delicious cooking on that big custom made grill, he donated his time and resources, any time he was asked. Cliff was truly one of a kind and will be sorely missed by everyone.The family would like to express their deep appreciation to his companion, Janet Larkin for being his caregiver during his illness.On January 3, 2015, a celebration of life will be held 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Knights of Columbus Hall, San Antonio, FL.
