Roy Rogers Messer Jr. (Roger), 57, of San Antonio, FL, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his family and loved ones, Friday, November 24th, 2023.
Roger was born April 23rd, 1966, in Winter Haven, FL to his parents, Janet Theo Graves and Roy Rogers Messer Sr. Roger attended Auburndale High School (Class of 84), and Traviss Technical College where he obtained a degree in IT. Rogers love for music ran deep and began at a very young age, following in his mothers footsteps. He had a passion for Bluegrass and was a talented, self-taught banjo musician. Throughout his years, you could catch him pickin at a local Bluegrass festival or jammin with his friends. Roger loved and cherished time with his children. During their younger years, he spent his time coaching, attending, and supporting their various sporting events as nothing brought him more joy than seeing them pursue their passions. Roger married Terri Levine-Messer on July 24, 2014. The two of them committed themselves to each other in the presence of the Lord on the beach in St. Petersburg, FL. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, and attending Tampa Bay Rays Games. Roger was a member of New Walk Church of Zephyrhills, Fl. He devoted his days to serving our Lord on his worship team and being the best husband, father, family man and friend that he could be. He had a heart of gold and will be missed dearly.
