Rose T. Chapman, age 84, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, went home to the Lord - something she had been predicting for years with her famous line, "the rapture is coming." Her earthly journey ended, and her eternal one began on October 13th, 2026, If there ever was anyone ready, it was Rose.
Born in Chicago, Illinois to Henry and Margaret Weber, Rose grew up surrounded by her twin sister and two siblings, many cousins filled with laughter, and the kind of family stories only Chicago can produce. She left high school early, but in true Rose fashion - determined, sharp, and never one to let anything stop her - she proudly earned her GED 45 years later. She went on to conquer the world of accounting and financial services. Raising four children, which she considered her greatest achievement - and occasionally her greatest adventure.
Rose had a main passion: preaching the Lord's word. Rose witnessed and taught bible study to the women's prison in Zephyrhills for 2 years. She also enjoyed bowling, reading and playing Mahjong. If she wasn't sharing scripture, she was shuffling tiles with the intensity of a Vegas card dealer. She was kind, intelligent, quick-witted, and funny in a way that caught you off guard - the type of humor that made you laugh even when you didn't want to.
She leaves behind a lively and loving family: her sister Sharon, her children Arcangela (Peggy), Patricia, Angelo, and Saverio, her grandchildren Lauren, Heather, Savannah, Danielle, Justin, Nicole, Angelina, and Michele, and her great-grandchildren Briella, Dean, Jethro, Annalise, and Mick. She is reunited with her parents Henry and Margaret, her siblings Patricia and Henry, and her grandson Saverio H. DiGioia, who surely greeted her with open arms.
Rose lived with both Christian and Jewish faith, carrying a deep spiritual curiosity and devotion throughout her life. She loved fiercely, laughed often, and left a legacy of faith, family, and unforgettable one-liners. At her passing, the song "I Surrender All" was playing, as she did.
