Ronald L Jones, Betmar resident, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. He was born on December 12, 1929 in Elwood, Indiana. He was a communication specialist in the Navy and actively served in the Korean War. He earned a bachelors degree from Ball State University in Education and a Masters Degree from University of Akron. He was a teacher and administrator at Springfield Locals Schools in Ohio. After retirement he started his own business in transportation called "Rons Runs". He loved traveling and two of his more memorable trips include following the Lewis and Clark expedition and cruising the middle east on a freighter. He traveled to Ireland, England and other European countries. He was an avid reading and enjoyed swimming every day. He was a volunteer at Hospice and in his Betmar community. He is survived by his children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
