Ronald Fredrick Butler (Papa Bear), 75, of Dade City, Florida passed away on August 20, 2022. He was born March 7, 1947 to Kenneth and Helen Keller Butler in Syracuse, New York. Ron was employed and retired from the school board after 32 years. He was a member of Dade City Church of God. He was an avid collector of Nascar, Tampa Bay Bucs, Rays, and Star Wars memorabilia. He was a sweet man filled with love, compassion, and care. Ron loved his family, his children, and his wife. He enjoyed spending time with them and going out to eat.
He is preceded in death by his first wife: Wanda; daughter: Pamela Butler; Siblings: Donna Davis, Dawn Waldell and Donald Butler.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife: Alice Butler; Children: Debbie (Jerry) Ellington, Jennifer (Melvin) Beagle, Holly Elliott; Nine Grandchildren: Andrew, Joshua, Kyle (Alyssa), Tricia, Holden (Brandi), TJ, Dominick, Tessa, William Beagle; Nine great-grandchildren: CJ, Maelyn, Jayden, Jaylynn, Roseanna, Jayde, Kyle Jr., Emma, Ryker; Siblings: Pat Butler, Shelly Keller, Ken Keller; In-laws: Ruth and Ruben Rivera, Charlie and Melissa Daughtery, James and Pat Smith; Beloved dog: Brutus; Many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held September 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Ronalds home in Dade City.
