Born on July 25, 1925, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Ronald lived a long and fulfilling life,

marked by his unwavering love for his family and community.

Ronald proudly served with honor in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class from 1944 to

1965. He was a World War II veteran and received numerous honors throughout his military

career, including medals for marksmanship and, most notably, the prestigious Bronze Star

(Cathie) Bohm of Dade City, FL; Deborah (Jim) Barnes of Dade City, FL; Regina (Doug) Rea

of Atlanta, GA; and a half-brother Harry Smith of Brandon FL. "Pawpaw" (as he was

affectionately known), also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 8

great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride. His family was

the center of his world, and his legacy will live on through them.

A man of great passion for the outdoors, Ronald was a staunch advocate for the

environment, dedicating much of his time to preserving the beauty of nature. His love for

the earth and its creatures was a guiding principle in his life, and he instilled these values in

all those who knew him.

Throughout his long and rich life, Ronald touched many hearts with his kindness, wisdom,

and gentle spirit. His legacy is one of love for family, devotion to nature, and a lifelong

commitment to making the world a better place.
