Obituary

Roger Steven Shelton passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2nd, 2022 in Tampa, FL surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 1st, 1969 in La Jolla California to Roger and Judy Shelton. Roger served in the United States Army beginning as an MP and moving up in rank becoming a CID operative as part of the Military police. He received several badges of Honor. He then went on to have a career at the California State Auto Association as a dispatcher. His career then moved him to Allstate as an insurance claims adjuster where he received several awards for his hard work and dedication. He ended his career as a legal assistant for a law firm where he was again recognized for his dedication. Roger enjoyed his time chatting with family and friends, making everyone laugh with his jokes, cooking became his passion. He spent several years being a true caretaker to his mother-in-law Olga until her passing. Roger is survived by His loving wife and best friend of eleven years Tanya aka {Allie}, Father and mother Roger and Judy Shelton, Siblings Kathi Lemonds, Jim Orvis, Andy Orvis, John Shelton, Natalie Shelton, and Annette Maier. Sons Stephen (Sara) Johannson, David (Shantel) Durfee, Daughters Cindy (Cesar) Cortes, Tiffany (Leo) Daniel, Grandsons Luceano, Noble (The one that stole his heart every time he would say "Papa Rogie", Kaiylo. Granddaughters, Laniya, Kiara, and Leah, 9 nieces and Nephews, High School Amigos Scott and Todd, and close Friend Mario (who he loved shooting darts with and sharing sushi). To my Husband Roger AKA (Noah F Calhoun) in Heaven I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you. And then I realized...you spent the rest of your life with me. I smile because I know you loved me till the day you went away. And will keep loving me...Till the day we're together again. Love Allie. A celebration of life to be held at the beach Rogers favorite place at a later date.
