Obituary

Roger Allen Groover passed away on December 28th, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born December 6, 1946, in Dade City to John Loy Groover and Juanita Clemons. He was a lifelong resident of Dade City. He served in the United States Marine Corp. and is a Vietnam Veteran. He retired in 2009 after 25 years with the Pasco County Building Department.He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Linda Henderson Groover; his 3 children: Michelle Frye (Wayne), Steve Groover (Kara), Jennifer Groover; 2 sisters: Janice MacFerran (Ernie), Terrie Carr Edwards (Tom); 6 grandchildren: Jacob Stewart, Kimberly Stewart, Garrett Groover, and Samuel Rampersad, Cody Frye (Rebecca) and Melissa Franck (Ian). He was predeceased by his father: John Loy Groover, his mother: Juanita Clemons Carr, step-father: Kenneth W. Carr; his sister: Jenell Sutton; 2 brothers: Jerry Carr and Jeff Carr. Funeral Services will be held 4pm Monday evening, January 4th, 2021 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
