Roberta J. Combs, born October 23, 1946, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026, at the age of 79.

Roberta was the beloved wife of James W. Combs Jr. The two shared a long and devoted marriage and celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in July. Their many years together were a testament to a life built on love, commitment, and family.

Roberta was a loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer (Combs) Robles, and a cherished mother-in-law to Jennifer’s husband, Salvador Robles.

She was the daughter of Betty and George Kenworthy and the sister of Dr. Robert Kenworthy and his wife, Joan. She is also remembered by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jacqueline (Combs) Shangle and her late husband, George; Peggy (Combs) Donahue and her husband, Ron; and Dorothy Segroves and her husband, Dr. Larry Segroves. Roberta was also a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews.

Throughout her life, Roberta was blessed with many special friendships that grew far beyond friendship and became part of her extended family. There are too many to list by name, but they know who they are and the special place they held in her heart. Their love, companionship, and shared memories meant more to Roberta and her family than words can express.

Roberta will be remembered with love by her family, her extended family of dear friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and the love she shared throughout her life will continue to be treasured for generations.
