78, of Dade City, FL passed away Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Bayfront Hospital Dade City. Glenn was born in Moultrie, GA to Lewis Edward and Ester Edna Beverly Weaver. After moving to Dade City in 1950, Glenn became a member of the First Baptist Church. He was active in his community, as a longtime member and past President of the Kiwanis Club of Dade City and serving on the Board of Directors for Farm Bureau of Pasco County. He enjoyed helping the youth of Dade City, coaching Little League for many years. Over the years, he was active with the local FFA chapters and the 4-H Clubs of Pasco County and served as the auctioneer for the annual Pasco County Fair Youth Steer and Hog Sales. Glenn worked for American Can Company and Florida Power, and was a proud veteran of the Florida National Guard. He spent many years doing what he truly loved as a cattle rancher, selling both hay and liquid feed. He was preceded in death by his son Wayne Weaver on May 19, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patricia, of Dade City, daughters, Susan Guthrie (Gary) of Powder Springs, GA, Elaine Del Campo (Cesar) of Marietta, GA, Wanda Fonner (Doug) of Dover, DE, Todd Newsome (Dawn) of Dade City, Melissa Hansen (Mark) of Tampa, FL, his siblings, Virginia Etheridge, Dave Weaver and Lewis Weaver, all of Dade City, and Dewey Weaver of Lake City, 11 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Glenns family will receive friends on Monday, March 23rd from 6:00 pm 8:00 pm at the 5th Street Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 24th at the First Baptist Church of Dade City, 37511 Church Street.
