Bob, 87, ended his journey with us on August 2, 2013. He was born on October 7, 1925, in Danbury, CT, and raised in Bethal, CT, by his Grandmother. His father was Stewart I. Tibbits and mother Elizabeth Parker Brodie. His cousin, Elizabeth Sutton, was raised in the same house and was like a sister to him. She resides with her husband Jack in W. Palm Beach, FL. Survived by his wife Barbara J. Tibbits of Zephyrhills, FL, and had a son Robert Allen. He is also survived by his daughter, Patricia Tibbits of Tampa, FL, and son David Tibbits, of France. Bob has 3 grandchildren, Cole and Lucas Tibbits of CA and Eve Tibbits of France. Bob married Barbara in Syracuse, NY where he worked at the Syracuse Upstate Medical Center, Fairchild and Meech Funeral Home and taught school at the Simmons School of Embalming. He moved the family to Orleans, Cape Cod, MA in 1969, partnering at the Nickerson Funeral Homes. In 1984 Barbara and Bob moved to Florida where he worked and retired from Sun Trust Bank in Zephyrhills. Bob was a Boy Scout leader for a number of years in Syracuse, belonged to the Rotary Club in Orleans, enjoyed camping, wood working and music. Very outgoing he touched many people and was always glad to help anyone out and will always be remembered with a smile. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
