IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert
Terracciano
March 30, 1973 – March 20, 2017
Robert Terracciano was a son, a brother, an uncle and a friend. He was also Supermanor at least his family who loved him and his nephews who adored him thought he was. And thats what really counts.
In addition to taking on the role of Superman, Robert was just a normal guy. He worked at Pathmark for over 20 years, making many good friends. He followed his passion for cooking and got his degree in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management from the Art Institute of NYC. When asked what Roberts favorite thing to make was, his sister Michele replied without hesitation "a mess". After dirtying every bowl, cooking utensil, pot and pan his dish was always "the best". Taking on the role of food critic, he was quick to tell his mother and sister that their culinary efforts were too dry or were lacking in flavor. You see, he was also Superman in the kitchen.
Small in stature but big in heart, his nephews were his passion before his cooking or anything else. He loved Dylan and Logan as if they were his own children. He more than loved them, he adored them. They were all he talked about. His "Minions", as he lovingly referred to them. Watching them together, you would think he was the same age as they played and laughed together. Uncle Rob was their playmate, friend, and protector. Their Superman.
Robert had a good life surrounded by a close and loving family. Never having the desire to drive, his Dad made sure he got Robert wherever he needed to be. His Mother took care of his every need. All she ever asked was to have more time with him. The hole in their hearts is unmeasurable.
This Thursday would have been Roberts 44th birthday. His family and friends would have gathered to share a meal and to celebrate with him. He would have teased and laughed that his cooking was better than what was served. Instead, Superman decided it was time to take flight to watch over his friends and family. But, before he left he made arrangements to donate his organs. His unselfish gesture has already given two people sight.
Thank you, Robert, for spending 43 years with us. Your legacy will live on in your nephews. Although you will not physically be here with us, you will always be in our hearts. And just think..in addition to having X-ray vision, Superman had perfect hearing. How great is that. Enjoy feeling great, having gourmet meals and being able to "fly".
