Robert "Bob" Sutton, age 77, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Betterton, Maryland. His parents, James Merritt Sutton, Jr. and Elizabeth Bertoulin (Cacy) Sutton and brother James Merritt Sutton, III preceded him in death. Bob was a graduate of the University of Baltimore. He was a Financial Administrator for the State of Maryland/Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and had worked for the State for 41 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed driving his custom car and street rod around town and to Rod & Custom car shows in Florida and many other states. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Denise (Walters), daughter Autumn (Sutton) and son-in-law Joshua Stucker, his grandchildren Amaya and Elijah, his sister Anita (Sutton) Willliams and nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at this daughters home. Bob was a supporter of St. Jude. Children having to suffer with cancer was a concern to him and especially after his diagnosis.
