Robert "Bob" L. Stephens, 85, of Clermont, Florida passed away on December 14, 2022, in Springhill, Florida. Bob was born on February 15, 1937, in Bluefield, West Virginia to Luther and Opal Stephens.
Bob was an outstanding athlete in his younger days lettering in track, football, basketball, and baseball. He holds many records and was offered scholarships for football but choose to marry and start a family.
He had worked with Westing House in the late 50s working as a government contractor installing radar systems for the Air Force traveling to many locations. After early retirement, he moved back to Orlando and started his own business and later worked for Sheraton Lakeside Inn Orlando until his mid 70s.
Bob was an avid fisherman spending most of his free time traveling the state hitting his hotspots. He leaves behind many family and friends, he will be missed for his sense of humor and stories.
He is preceded in death by his daughter: Janice; sister: Ann Belcher and parents: Luther and Opal Stephens.
Bob is survived by his children: Donnie (Roberta) Stephens, Janice (Fred) Crabil, Deanna (Rick) Allen, Dianna Pierce; Grandchildren: Byron (Hiede) Stephens, Mandy (Mike) Meyer, Susan (Rick) Hess, Kasey (Chris) Bradshaw; Great-Grandchildren: Tyler Stephens, Makenzie Stephens, Sandy Meyer, Madison Meyer, Cameron Turner, Kyle Brown, Maggie Allen, Ashley Allen, Gabbie Pierce and Great- Grandchild: Mason Brown.
