Robert Barthelmess Porter, age 85, passed away on Sunday March 1, 2020 at his home in Zephyrhills, FL

He was born on June 23rd, 1934 in New York, NY to Robert and Mildred Porter. Robert was the oldest of 2 children. He graduated from Valley Stream High School in Valley Stream. Then he was drafted and served in the US Army. After his discharge he went on to Georgia Tech and then received his Bachelor degree from Hofstra University. He worked as a Project Manager for A&TT into retirement and then moved down to Florida.

Robert was preceded in passing on by his parents; and his wife Janet A. (Wright) Porter. Robert leaves behind his 3 children, Robert and his wife Cheryl, Donna Gilmore and her husband Thomas, and Steven; 8 Grandchildren, Robert Porter, Alexander Porter, Christine Porter, Thomas Gilmore, Jessica Gilmore, Jamie Gilmore, Chloe Groves, and Lyle Walley; and Great Granddaughters, Quinn Groves and Naomi Groves and his sister; Bettina (Porter) Droll.
