Obituary

My brother Robert Lee Paul passed away peacefully on the very early morning of November 24, 2024. Rob was one of the most thoughtful gift-givers the world has ever known. Throughout the year he would pick up little meaningful things that fit the recipient's personality, often not new, he had a way of seeing things in others and greatly enjoyed the gift of giving.

Rob had a passion for old trucks and appreciated a simple carburetor and a shifter on the column. Several long-distance fishing trips on a Saturday morning often had me wondering just what would the two of us do if we found ourselves on the side of the road which was not uncommon. Looking back these made for some really great times. I'll never forget being in a 69 VW Bug with Rob and seeing half of the exhaust system happily tumbling down the road behind us.

Back in the day, Rob was an amazing cook. Some of the scratch-made concoctions would definitely be TikTok-worthy today. He was an artist in the kitchen and an even better artist with pen and ink, spending hours working on a mystical rendering that would only cover a few square inches at a time.

Rob worked construction for the majority of his career then wound up in Appleton Wisconsin for a bit as a grinder for Pierce Manufacturing where he was extremely proud to work on firetrucks.

He had lived in Louisianna, Coldwater Michigan, several places in Florida, Appleton Wi, Wabash Indiana near me, and even in California.

Rob was often misunderstood, but a true blessing for those that shared meaningful time with him. I will always remember and miss several phone conversations discussing fishing, Neil Young, and an always positive supportive tone.

Rob has been preceded in death by his father James Paul in January of 2021, his Mom Alice May Paul in June of this year, and an amazing sister Debra Sue Paul in 2002. His brother James S Paul resides in West Virginia, and Terry Paul(me) is still going strong in Wabash Indiana.

Donations can be made to honor our sister to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation www.ucp.org . Rob had problems of his own but in his spirit, I'm confident he would want to lend a hand to others.
