Robert (Bob) C. Mitchell passed away on October 31, 2026 in Florida. Bob was originally from Rhode Island. He was born on April 3, 1938 to Charles E. Mitchell and Willa Harriet (Johnston) Mitchell. He was the oldest of 5 children. He is survived by his siblings, BettyAnn Whitney, Margaret Pierce, Harry Mitchell and Charles Mitchell.

Bob married his beloved wife Linda (Ganze) in 1960. They primarily lived in the Wakefield, Narragansett area while raising their three children and ten foster children. Bob and Linda moved to Florida in 1992. Linda passed away in September of 2007.

While Bob lived in RI his primary vocation was real estate, in FL he and Linda worked together in various programs focused on children at risk. Interests of Bob throughout the years including running, raising goats, and he even had his pilot license.

Bob's faith in God was very important to him. He trusted in Jesus and was very involved with serving in his church communities. While living in RI his family attended Calvary Bible Church and his most recent church was First Baptist of Wesley Chapel, FL. He was also ordained as a minister in the evangelical church alliance. 

Bob is survived by his siblings, his children & foster children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
