Robert Lee Jordan Jr., 80, of Ridge Manor, Florida passed away Friday, March 20th, 2020. The eldest of 3 children, Bobby was born December 10, 1939, in Chesapeake, VA to Robert Lee & Bertha Mae Wagner Jordan. After graduating from Oscar F. Smith high school in 1957, he attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute for 2 years as a member of the Cadet Corps. He joined the Air Force in 1959, and served his country for 12 years as a Navigator and Electronic Warfare Officer on-board the B-52 Strato-Fortress. Captain Jordan was a Vietnam War Veteran and a member of the Association of Old Crows. Upon completion of his military service, Bobby and his family moved to Melbourne, Florida where he continued his education at Florida Institute of Technology while working for Harris Controls. He completed his education at Rollins College, graduating in 1980 with both a Bachelors and Masters degree. Upon his retirement, Bobby moved to Ridge Manor, Florida, to pursue his passions of golf, woodworking, and gardening. It was also here that he met and married his beloved wife of almost seven years, Becky. Together they enjoyed traveling, golfing, bird watching, and spending time with their family and many friends. Bobby and Becky shared a mutual love of music, attending many music festivals together. Bobby is survived by his wife, Rebecca Jordan; 2 children, Kelly Bunch, and Robert Jordan; 4 grandchildren, Allyson Cash, Kinsey Bunch, Alex Jordan, and Jake Allen; and 1 brother, George Jordan. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Jordan. Bobby will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
