Robert E. Jones (Bob), 81 of Zephyrhills, Fl passed away on January 11, 2021. He passed away at home from chronic medical conditions with loved ones near him.

Bob was born in Hanover, OH. He attended Newark High School. After high school, he joined the Air Force and was stationed at F.E Warren AFB, WY, the Pentagon, and Keflavik Air Base Iceland where he served honorably as a Communications Specialist.

Bob owned & managed "Jones Agency" from 1985 to 2001 and worked security for Saddlebrook Resort, Wesley Chapel, FL. Ohio States number 1 fan, Bob never missed a game. He was also an avid golfer and pool player. After watching Ohio State, golf was his next greatest passion; playing every chance he could. He was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge serving as Lt. Governor at Lodge 499 in 2001. Bob loved to coach youth baseball and enjoyed many years throughout his life teaching the game.

Stubborn is perhaps the best word to lovingly describe Bob Jones. He was his own man, knew what he liked and that was all he needed. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren, family, Ohio State and golflife was good!

Bob is survived by: His loving wife Phyllis (Fish) Jones of Zephyrhills, Fl., Son David Jones and wife Stephanie (Martin) of Gig Harbor, WA, Daughter Carla (Jones) Willey and husband John of Newark, Oh, Daughter Robyn Jones and fiance Clint Holly of Ocala, FL, Stepson Willie Neighbor of Frazeysburg, Oh, Sister Carolyn (Jones) Weiser of Hernando, FL, Sister Shelly (Jones) Stratford and husband Thomas of Thornville, Oh, Granddaughter Tyfany (Jones) McDaid and Husband Damian of Vancouver, CD, Grandson Frank Marshall of Newark, Oh, Grandson Gabe Jones of Newark, Oh, Grandson Rylan Holly of Ocala, FL, Granddaughter Ryleigh Holly of Ocala, FL, Great Grandson Aodhn McDaid of Vancouver, CD Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins and His many friends.

Bob is preceded in death by: His father, Samuel Jones and mother, Evelyn (Decker) Jones of Newark, OH., Stepson Rick Neighbor of Newark, Oh, Granddaughter Rebecca Holly of Newark, Oh.

Services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the Hodges Family Funeral Home

Burial to follow at Bushnell National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
