Robert Lee Hogan, 84,of Dade City, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed peacefully away after a struggle with Alzheimers . Bob was born in Chicago on April 1, 1932 to Isaac Roy Hogan and Hannah Linquist Hogan and grew up in Southern Illinois. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948 and served during both Korean and Vietnam wars. During his distinguished twenty threeyear career he served aboard the aircraft carriers USS Randolph,and USS Constellation and at such diverse locations as NAS Key West, FL, NAS Argentia, Newfoundland and NAS Keflavick, Iceland.After retirement from the Navy,heworked as service manager for Tampa Marine Radio, and later as national technical manager for ITT-Decca Marine of New York and London. In retirement, he was active in the Florida United Methodist Church, the Fleet Reserve Association, and Promise Keepers. He wasalso an avid Bucs and Rays fans. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Morrison Hogan; daughter, Romana Johnson; son-in-law Jim Johnson; sons Timothy Hogan and Matthew Hogan; grandsons Cameron Johnson, Noah Jensen-Hogan, and Sullivan Hogan.He was preceded in death by his son William Hogan. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, 37628 Church Avenue, Dade City on Friday, December 16 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery at Bushnell at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dade City First United Methodist Church'sChildren's Ministry.
