Gaston, Robert O., "Bob", of Dade City, FL, 96, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017. His beloved wife, Patricia Campbell Gaston, "Pat", 90, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Both Bob and Pat were graduates of Wadsworth High School, Wadsworth, Ohio. Pat continued her education at the University of Akron and graduated with a degree in education. Bob was proud to be a WWII veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps, 1942-1946. Bob and Pat were married on August 3, 1946. They are survived by their four children, daughters, Jean McNary, Joy (Tom) Hearn, and Ellen (Tim) Kunselman, and one son, David (Becky) Gaston; grandchildren Matt Gaston, Cindy Szekely, Sean Vernon, and Alethia Duncan; two great-grandchildren, Sean and Eian, step-great-grand daughter, Quinn McNary, and many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Bruce Campbell and sister-in-law Sue, and another sister-in-law, Eleanor Campbell, also survive Pat. Bob and Pat were devoted to each other and to their children, making sure all four had a college education. Bob spent his life working as a bookkeeper and accountant. Pat taught school for many years in Ohio, and finished her career teaching math in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. After moving to Dade City, Pat, who was an award winning quilter, taught some classes at Quilts on Plum Lane. Bob honed his computer skills, and when he was able, attended the Marine Corps League in Zephyrhills, FL. The family would like to express a very special thank you to our parents caregivers from Guardian Angels Homecare, especially: Samantha, Dixie, Amy, Verna, Nikki, Maggie, Denise, and Brenda. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gulfside Hospice of Pasco County. Services will be held at a later date.
