Obituary

Robert "Bob" Dlugozima, 86, of Zephyrhills, Florida, formerly of Fulton, New York, passed away peacefully on August 21,2024. Born to the late Chester and Savera Dlugozima, Bob was known for his honesty, kindness, and living his life to the fullest.

Nearly 40 years ago, Bob and his devoted wife, Donna, began a new chapter of their lives in Florida, where they created a home filled with love and adventure. Before their move, Bob owned Bob D's Liquor Store in Fulton and was deeply involved in the operation of DuBois Inn in Minetto, New York, a beloved family establishment.

In Florida, Bob and Donna managed luxury condos in Naples for two decades, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed their paths. They retired in 2006, settling in Ft. Myers Beach. Tragically, they lost their home to Hurricane Ian in 2022, which led to their move to Zephyrhills.

Bob's passion for cars was a significant part of his life, owning several over the years that reflected his keen eye for design and craftsmanship. A true car enthusiast, he found great joy in every vehicle he owned. Bob was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays. He was a life member of the Moose and Elks Clubs and belonged to the Sons of the American Legion in Ft. Myers Beach.

Family was Bob's greatest source of happiness. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Donna, and their children: Robert Jr. (Peggy), Tammy Ewing ( late EJ Ewing) , Sandra (John Horan)and Daniel (Linda). His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Cory, Paul, Max (Jenna), Quinn, Robert (Jacqueline), Daniel (Kait), Tyler, and his granddaughter Cassie (Chris). Bob was also a proud great-grandfather to Braun and Cameron Dlugozima.

Bob shared a special connection with his cat, Casper, who brought him immense comfort and joy.

Though Bob will be dearly missed, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to love, generosity, and the strong bonds he formed with family and friends.

Services will be held privately for the immediate family.
