Robert Bruce Arnold
On Saturday October 29, 2022 at the age of 86, Robert (Bob) Arnold peacefully passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Roberta "Bobbie" Arnold, his oldest son Dr. Bob Arnold and wife Michelle, daughter Elise Arnold-Freeman, youngest son Bret J. Arnold and fiance Cheryl Gray, granddaughter Madison Nicole Smith and husband Christopher, grandson Joshua Alexander Arnold, and his great grandsons Noah and Cash Smith.
Bob was born October 2, 1936 in Babylon, New York to Dorothy and Arthur Arnold. He was the youngest of six siblings (Theodora, Eugene, Virginia, Mary and Arthur) and the last to leave this world.
Bob graduated from Babylon High School where he played three sports and received a basketball scholarship to college. However, he chose to join the Army and served as a military police officer.
He was a man of integrity, truth and dignity. He lived his life to the fullest each and every day. He believed that being welcoming and hospitable were important core values. He loved cooking (which will be greatly missed!) for family and friends. He enjoyed all sports and was an ardent fan of the Buccaneers, Lightning and Rays. He competed in beach volleyball into his late 50s and had a life-long passion for golf.
Upon his retirement he landed his "dream job" at Hunters Green Golf Course. For 15 years he enjoyed golfing with friends and club members.
Bob will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was one of a kind. Life will never look or be the same without you in it.
