Rita Marie (Gosselin) Molnar, 96, a longtime resident of St. Joseph (Dade City), Florida, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2026.

Rita was born in San Antonio, FL, one of nine children of Joseph and Marie Gosselin. She was raised on a farm in St. Joseph, Florida. Rita was predeceased by her parents, seven siblings, two great-great grandchildren and her loving husband of 60 years, Arthur E. Molnar.

Rita is survived by her six children: Carol Molnar, Dade City, FL; Patricia (Jay) Ekiss, Niota, TN; Ellen Edwards, Melbourne, FL; Paul (Kathy) Molnar, Crossville, TN; Christine (Keith) Stafford, Dade City, FL; Mary Roberts, Dade City, FL; one brother, Maurice (Jeanette) Gosselin, Trinity, AL; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She worked for many years in the Finance office at Saint Leo College, then as Business Manager at Saint Leo Abbey, Saint Leo, Florida. After retirement, she worked as a Counselor at Diet Center in Zephyrhills and then became a Patient Care Assistant and Home Health Aide and worked in home healthcare.

Since birth, Rita has been an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Saint Joseph, Florida. A visitation is scheduled on Friday October 9, 2026 between 6-7 PM, followed by the Rosary at 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10 AM with a reception to follow at Sacred Heart Church Hall. All services will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 32145 Saint Joe Road, Dade City, Florida. A private interment will take place at a later time.
