Strickland, Richard Cecil, 73 of Ridge Manor-Dade City Area passed away March 2, 2012. He was the owner of Stricklands Citrus Trees and Plants. He was a construction worker by trade and helped with the I-75 roadway. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Many people knew him at the flea market in the surrounding area. He was a Cub Scout Leader-Master of Lacoochee Pack 309. He and his wife operated food stands at the rodeo, mud boggins and wrestling ring in Lacoochee. He is preceded in death by his parents Cecil and Elizabeth, Sister Martha Fussell and brother Charles (Peanut) Strickland. He is surrived by his wife of 44 years Mary Arlene,sons Brian and Eric,Grand Children Lacey,Christoper,Casey,Aryn,Amber,Tressa and Cara.One Great Grandchild Tristen. TO KNOW HIM WAS TO LOVE HIM. A SOUTHERN,GENTLE-MAN. Services will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at 10:00 am in the Hodges Family Funeral Home 301 Chapel with a visitation Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm. He will be laid to rest in Floral Memory Gardens, Dade City.
