Richard James Rhudy

Richard James Rhudy, age 73, of Ridge Manor, Florida, passed away on June 28, 2026, in Dade City, Florida.

Richard was born on September 13, 1952, in Havre de Grace, Maryland, to Robert and Margaret Rhudy. He later attended Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, Florida.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Richard served his country with honor. During his military service, he was selected to serve in the Honor Guard and was chosen to escort Princess Grace of Monaco during a visit by his ship to Monaco—an experience that remained one of the highlights of his service.

Throughout his life, Richard held a variety of occupations and was known for his hardworking nature and willingness to take on new challenges. He made his home in Ridge Manor, Florida, where he spent many years.

Richard is survived by his sister, Ruby Burdick and her husband Ken Burdick.

He will be remembered for his service to his country, his strong work ethic, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him.
