IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard
Hancock
November 15, 1947 – October 12, 2025
GOD-FAMILY-COUNTRY
It is with immeasurable sadness and loss but also with great joy, that we announce that Richard Hancock was called home by Jesus at age 77 on October 12, 2025.
Richard grew up in Ft. Meade and Bartow where he excelled in football and track. He graduated from the University of Florida and began teaching agriculture in Dade City. There he met a Trilby girl, and they began a 50-year marriage and partnership in Hancock Farm and Seed Company. Their sons, Christopher (Jaclyn) and Jonathan (Andrea) and the wonderful grandchildren will always be the light of his life.
Richard grew strong and deep in his faith through Bible Study Fellowship, and he shared God's love in the kindness, laughter, and integrity he showed people he encountered every day. Richard is a true American patriot who loved our country and all the Christian values that it was founded upon.
He loved spending time at the mountain cabin he built in Idaho but his place of peace on earth was on the Suwannee River. Today we rejoice knowing Richard is walking the streets of Heaven waiting for all of us to join him there.
A celebration of his life will be held at Discover Fellowship Church, 12561 Smith Road, Dade City, FL 33525 on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 3:00pm
