Geel, Richard L. 81, of Tampa Bay Golf & Country Club in San Antonio, FL and formerly of Clarksville, NY passed away on January 25, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Joanne, and his children: Laurie Levine (Butch) of Delmar, NY; Richard Jr. (Linda) of Rye, NH; and Kenneth of Stillwater, NY. Also, his grandchildren: Ashley Trumpler (Wes), Nicole Levine, Erin, Rachel, Abby, Emily, Leah and Kris Geel; great-grandson: Brady Trumpler; and his sister: Jane Goddard. Richard also has several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Barend and Marion; brothers: Robert, Barend (Bud) and Charles. Richard was a truck driver, retiring from Fort Edward Express in 2001. He was a member of the NY Teamsters Local 294 for over 50 years, the Bethlehem Elks and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Cobleskill, NY. He will be remembered for his quick wit, many jokes and love for his family and will be greatly missed by family and friends. A private ceremony will be held for friends and family.
