Richard Lee Freed age 57, of Dade City, FL passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at his home. He was born March 30, 1966, in Logansport, IN to Arthur L. & Sandra K. Freed. He was a longtime area resident of Dade City. He was a graduate of Pasco Comprehensive High School and worked as a Millwright out of the local 1000 in Tampa, Florida. After his 33 year career at CF Industries and 3 years with Mosaic, Richard also founded Freed's A/C.

He was a devoted husband, father, and PawPaw. Hardworking and strong-willed, he dedicated himself to our Lord at Grace World Outreach Church. When he was not working, he loved to bowl, which he fell in love with as a teenager. This love for the sport influenced him to become a league member and eventually President of the East Pasco Bowling Association. Hunting, fishing, tinkering around the house and rooting for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were just some of his hobbies.

Richard is survived by his wife, Debbie Ann Freed: his father, Arthur L. "Art" Freed: his children: Heather A. Freed, Daniel I. Testa, Amanda 'Mandy' K. Freed, Kevin L. Freed and Karen A. Freed: his grandchildren: Emersyn R. Freed and Levi G. Freed and a sibling Tina M. Freed.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Kay Freed.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the 301 Chapel of Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time (10am-11am) at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery. Out of state friends and family will be able to remotely join via the Live Stream Link provided on the "Home Page" of Hodges Family Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Richard's memory to Chapters Hernando Pasco Hospice.
