Richard "Dick" Fenton, 89, passed away peacefully at home and surrounded by family on November 16, 2020. He was born in Trenton, NJ on June 24, 1931 to John and Gertrude Fenton.

Mr. Fenton enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951, and after serving duty in the Korean War, was Honorably discharged in 1955. He subsequently enrolled at Florida State University where he met the love of his life, Patricia Nathe. Upon graduating in 1959 from the FSUs College of Business with a B.A. in Accounting, he started a lengthy career as a CPA in Dade City, Florida. He also served as a financial consultant to numerous local community organizations and non-profits, including one near and dear to his heart- his home churchs childcare center- Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In his later years, he had a successful second career running the familys indoor foliage nursery business.

Fenton married Patricia Nathe of St. Joe, Florida in December of 1960, and they were married for 41 years until her death in 2002. There was nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with his family- especially his grandchildren, as well watching any and all FSU sports. He was a lifelong FSU Seminole Booster, football season ticket holder, and member of FSUs Alumni Association.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Champlain, Jack Fenton, and Rob Fenton.

He is survived by a brother Gerry Fenton, and four children, Jim (Lynda) Fenton, Mark (Tammy) Fenton, Donna (Paul) Blommel, and Rick (Melissa) Fenton, as well as 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm on November 18th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St Joe., FL. A funeral mass will be held on November 19th at 11:00 am, also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice.
