Richard "Dick" Erminelli 82, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away unexpectedly on March 27, 2022.

Richard was born on February 25, 1940 in Attleboro, Massachusetts. He lived all across the northeast including Maine and moved to Florida in 1981 settling in Dade City.

Richard "Dick" was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He worked for many years on the horse racing circuit training and taking care of horses, and as a carpenter in both Maine and Florida. He and his wife Joyce were also foster parents to many children through the years positively impacting the lives and futures of many people. The most important thing to Dick was always his family, spending time camping, cookouts, picnics, fishing, and just being together. He always attended all of his grandkids games and events and made it a priority to pass along the importance of family to all of his children and grandchildren.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife Joyce of 52 years, father (Edward), mother (Grace), brothers (James, Frederick, and William), and son-in-law (Robert Nason).

Richard is survived by his wife Nila, daughters Christine Arocho (Pedro), Wendy Rector (Walt), and Stacey Saylor (Rick), beloved niece Kelly Stanwood (Ted), brother Robert and sister Carol.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandria Nason, Joshua Nason, Timothy Saylor (Amanda), Meaghan Saylor, Brian Rector, and Ethan Saylor, and his great-grandchildren Amelia Saylor and Lincoln Saylor.

A celebration of life will be held at Hodges Family Funeral Home, 11441 US-301, Dade City, FL 33525 on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1pm.
