Richard Wayne Embrey Sr. of Dade City, Florida passed away May 23, 2022. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather.

Richard (Rick) was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Raymond Embrey Jr. and Mary Viola Embrey, and his beautiful wife, Joan Marie Embrey. He is survived by his son, Richard W. Embrey Jr. (Tammy) and daughter, Darlene G. Davison (Michael), four amazing grandchildren, Amber Embrey, Stefany Embrey, Jacob Davison, and Corey Davison, and many adoring great-grandchildren as well as his siblings, Clarence Raymond Embrey III (Martha), Wayne Michael Embrey (Beverly), Kathleen Ridgley and Susan Chase (Paul).

Rick was a man of great honor with a tough exterior and a heart of gold. His laugh was infectious and his love of music always brought joy to those lucky enough to have known him.

He has longed to be reunited with the love of his life since her passing in April 2020 which makes his departure bittersweet. He will forever be loved and missed immensely but knowing that he is whole again will bring peace to those he left behind.

Rest easy, Pop. We love you.

A memorial service is scheduled for Richard and Joan on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 3:00 pm, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Hampton Inn conference room in Dade City, Florida.
