DRESSER, Richard Earl "Dick" , 90, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away February 11, 2022. Dick was born July 26, 1931 in Otisfield, Maine to Earl and Helen Dresser. He grew up in Maine working on the family farm. Dick was a big rig driver, hauling sleds and later moving people around the East Coast for many years working for United Van. He had to retire from trucking due to an accident.
In 1987, he moved to Florida and started enjoying life in the sunny south. He loved going to Honeymoon Island to walk along the beach "hoping to catch a peek" and taking walks around the park they lived in. In the summer months, He would look after his friends homes, it was something to do and he enjoyed it.
In 2014, Dick and his wife Maureene , moved to North Carolina to have help taken care of her. When she passed he was lost. They were together 60 plus years. Now, father has passed on and is happy being with her again.
Dick is survived by three sons: Peter Dresser, David Dresser and Paul Dresser. Six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brother; sister.
He is preceded by his wife: Maureene Dresser
A service will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at Hodges Family Funeral Home in Dade City. Interment will follow the service at Chapel Hill Gardens.
