Obituary

Resa C. Lyon, 64, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Zephyrhills, Florida. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Resa was born on July 23, 1955 in Roswell, New Mexico to loving parents, Joseph Freeman and Mamie Tribley. Resa was well known and loved everywhere she went. Being raised in Lovington, New Mexico, her family owned a meat market and were well known by the town. She brought many smiles to everyone around her and was so known for her incredible sense of humor. Resa was also known for her deep love of lions and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Family was so important to her and she was so important to all of them. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and remembered as a loving wife, friend, sister, mother, and "Meme". Resa was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mamie Freeman; brothers, Joseph and William Freeman. She is survived by her dear husband of 42 years, Robert Lyon; sister, Linda Freeman; daughters, Melanie Wright, and Jennifer Beatty and husband, Scott Beatty; son, Dale Kissel and wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Scott Beatty, Jr., Shay Beatty, Kara Reed, Kacie Wright and Evelyn Wright; great-grandchild, Zoe Reed; her precious dog, Charlie, and many other family, friends, and neighbors. The family would also like to thank Gulfside Hospice for their kindness and care for Resa over the past year. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I do not die.
